I wrote this book because I recognize that there is an urgent need to assist beginning and prospective teachers preparing for the General Knowledge Mathematics Test on the Florida Teachers Certification Examination (FTCE).

It is with sincere appreciation that I acknowledge my friend Tracy whom I tutored as she prepared to take the FTCE, and who was ultimately successful Tracy's contribution is invaluable as she willingly shared her practice questions and prepared for the Exam.

As a result of Tracy's experience, I recognized that the future success of others further undergirds the positive impacet the mathematical principles and concepts outlined in this book will contribute to the field of education. It is my sincere desire as the author, that teachers in training will use the wide array of mathematical principles and concepts provided throughout the book questions to enhance their knowledge and skills in preparation for the FTCE.

Passing the Teacher Mathematics Test is also highly recommended as a supplemental resource for entry-level College Math courses.
